You put your head against mine,
Suddenly I am grateful for how tall you are,
Your forehead sits just right on mine.
Your fingers find me gently,
They caress parts of me,
I didn’t know existed.
You snuggle into my neck,
And I am grateful for the way you fit into me.
I look at you and ask,
Do you know how long I have waited for you?
How long? You ask.
Just too long.
Far too long.
And maybe it’s just right.
